Your edits stay on your device
Editing and export happen in your browser. Your project, your media, and your exports are stored in your browser's private storage and are not uploaded to us. Files you add from your device are never sent to our servers. Clearing your site data or choosing "New project" deletes them.
Links you import
To fetch media, our server receives the link you paste and downloads the file from its source. It may pass the link to a fetching service we run ourselves, and for sites that block our servers, the request may go through a proxy provider, which can see the address being fetched.
We keep the file on our server only until your browser has saved it, normally seconds or minutes, and never longer than one hour. Links are not written to our logs. We log the site's hostname, file size, timing, and the reason for any failure.
IP addresses
We hold your IP address in memory while an import runs and for a few minutes after, to enforce rate limits. It is not written to our application logs. Our hosting and network providers, including Cloudflare, may process it as part of serving the site.
Analytics
We use self-hosted analytics to count page views and key steps, such as an import finishing or an export completing. It stores a random browser identifier in your browser's local storage. It does not receive your links, media titles, or file names.
Cookies and ads
ReelPaste sets no cookies of its own and shows no ads.
